Sassy was one of four cats we picked up in September to remove them from a dangerous situation. Two of the four had been found with string tied around their necks and one of these two was in a dreadful state, his coat matted right into his skin and thick with oil that had been poured onto him. Sassy was the second one found with string around her neck. Another cat, this one with a proper home, had been poisoned not long before.

As it turned out, three of these cats belonged to people living nearby but all were living on the street and only saved from further misery by the kindness of a local couple who fed them. Two of the four cats have already been homed and are settling down very well, but Sassy and her friend Tippy have still to find those special people to give them a home (or, ideally, a home together). Sassy, despite being really quite a young cat (it’s hard to determine an exact age), had to have ELEVEN teeth removed, such was her state of total neglect. She’s a lovely girl, very good natured despite it all, and deserves so much to find a home where she’ll be loved and cherished. She’s a healthy girl now, and is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped with only her wee bag to pack when that wonderful home materialises.
