Of Connie’s five babies, Max is probably the shyest. Like Amber’s kitten Roger, Max is very much a mummy’s boy and is often to be found cuddling into Connie’s side at snoozy time. He really is a handsome kitten, with his lovely ginger coat and pretty face. Although I’m confident that Max will settle very well in a new home situation, it will take time for him to realise he’s safe and, very importantly, to stop missing his cat family. It really is such a big thing for them when they get split up as everything they know has been changed: their mothers and siblings are gone from their lives, as have the environment they thought of as home and the people who have been looking after them. In place of all the familiar things there are strange people, an unknown environment, strange sights, noises and scents ….

Finding just the right homes, the right people, for the shyer ones is never easy. It’s the people who make it work, or not work, not the cats! Max is a good boy, a really nice natured kitten, he’s simply taken his mother’s early warnings about not trusting poeple to heart. He really is learning that we humans aren’t all bad, just as his mother has. Max, too, is fully vaccinated and is microchipped. A home where there’s another friendly cat to be pals with would suit Max very well.
